Who I am
My background is a controls and distribution engineer, having served a full apprenticeship with Square D Ltd ( now part of Schneider ), I have worked for Ottermill ( Westinghouse );Vickers Hydraulics, on the Thames Barrier, Tornado Hydraulic testing facilitie’s and various other projects designing control systems.
I have for the past 30 years been designing and contracting electrical installations in the Commercial; Industrial & Retail sectors.
I had been with my last employer for 27 years, mainly running the design & build electrical contracts section, with project values from £10k to £3M.
Most of this work was in the Industrial, Commercial and Retail sectors and involved the detailed design of all the electrical services, then managing the installation up to and including the handover and associated documentation.
Some of these projects; especially in Retail were ‘fast-track,’ working closely with the main contractors to ensure ‘on-time’ completion of the works.
